Lesson 25: You Have Need Again of Milk
If Christ died for sins before the foundation of the world, then why was there a need for animal sacrifices during Old Testament times? And why did the animal sacrifices stop after Christ died on the cross in 33 A.D.? Answer: Because he died for sins on the cross in 33 A.D. so animal sacrifices were no longer necessary. He did not die before the foundation of the world otherwise there wouldn’t have been the need for any animal sacrifices in Old Testament times.
6I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you [other] than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
The gospel that Paul preached was that Christ paid for our sins when He died on the cross. Without question, that is what Paul preached. Now I ask you, should you follow Chris McCann or any other person who proclaims that Christ died for sins before the foundation of the world? Or should you follow Paul, who was moved by the Holy Spirit to write these words? Isn’t this a no-brainer?
29Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
Col 1: 19-23
19For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross [peace was made between man and God when Christ redeemed the Elect of their sins. And when did he do that? When he shed the “blood of his cross” in 33 A.D. which is what Paul was referring to], by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
21And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: 23If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven [the true gospel that Christ “reconciled” us “in the body of his flesh through death” on the cross in 33 A.D. was taught throughout the world until about 2007 when a single man began to teach otherwise]; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
Once again, I ask you, should you follow what a man would teach you? Or should you follow what Paul teaches, having penned the thoughts of the Holy Spirit?
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you [as it is for me also], and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints [to earnestly contend for the one true gospel, the only gospel that can save you: that our sins were forgiven by Jesus who died on the cross in 33 A.D.]. 4For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. [We must condemn all false gospels. They deny the Lord Jesus when they deny the sacrifice He made at the cross, the exceeding suffering he went through being nailed to the cross and then dying on the cross. They make a mockery of the tremendous sacrifice that he carried out on our behalf to pay for our sins when they say that He died there as merely a demonstration.]
17Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. 18(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: [Paul could have said that they are “enemies of Christ” if he wanted to refer to only those that don’t believe Christ was the Messiah, i.e., non-Christians. But instead, he said “they are the enemies of the cross of Christ” which includes not only non-Christians but Christians who fail to acknowledge that Jesus paid for sins by his death on the cross in 33 A.D.]
24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
25These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance [we must remember the true gospel that we were once taught], whatsoever I have said unto you.
12For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God [the core of the gospel is that God so loved the world (the Elect) that He gave His only begotten Son to die on the cross in order to make payment for our sins]; and are become such as have need of milk [many have been deceived and need to relearn what the core of the gospel is], and not of strong meat.
